★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We had a wonderful meal at Boqueria! Our server was Alexa - she was excellent! We have several food allergies we were navigating and she was very knowledgeable about ingredients and cooking methods that could present potential issues. She provided helpful information and recommendations generally that helped us enjoy a delicious meal!We went with our two boys and enjoyed a variety of tapas together. All of it was delicious, I would order everything again. The pan con tomate was a standout - super flavorful and great texture as well. The calamari was beautifully cooked, especially enjoyed the spicy tomato sauce with it. My son LOVED the octopus as well. All in all, a great experience for our family!
April 23 · Kelly THaven't been to a Boqueria since 2016. The last time was at another location as well. We opted for the brunch option for the table. We had the patatas bravas, croquetas, flatbread, Boqueria sandwich with and Manchego cheese, huevos estrellados, and churros. This was probably the most economical but I think its better to order the regular a la carte to get a regular serving. The only items worth coming back for were the croquetas and the Boqueria sandwich. The huevos estrellado was a bowl of French fries and one fried egg with a thimble portion of serrano ham on it. With the plethora of options for weekend brunch, its as if they are not doing their best with making customers return. Our server was good but when she took a break, none of her team members stepped up. There was a very lengthy wait for those elusive churros. At least 15 min of waiting without a status update.
April 27 · Mark BenitezGreat atmosphere, Jeremy provided wonderful service. The food came out fast. Quality experience and would definitely recommend. Our favorites were the lamb skewers and iberico Mac n cheese, hands down the top two. We finished our meal with carajillo's, perfect finish.
July 30 · Emilie EllisThe restaurant is hip and casual and yet elegant. The decor is beautiful and I love the flower decoration at the door entrance. The waiter, Mustafa, was attentive and friendly 😀. Their tapas are authentic. It is hard to get this level of authenticity and creativity in the states in my view. We had amazing scrumptuous patata bravas (perfectly crispy), gambas (fresh shrimp with rich garlic sauce), thinly sliced smoked chorizo, churros with 3 type of dipping sauces, bikini (grilled ham/cheese/truffle aioli) sandwich, roast chicken with salsa verde, jamom croquettes, daitles and Sangrias! I am still savoring it now from this wonderful dinner.
August 30 · ChristineMy partner and I ate here for happy hour and had the espresso martinis, white sangria, their seasonal beer (Estrella lager), patatas bravas, mini hamburguesas, and a paella de marisco. First off I want to express gratitude to Nelson and Sally for their excellent service and their communication with us as guests. It did not feel as though they were hovering but knew exactly when to check in to get us another drink and facilitate our dining experience.-Drinks: the drinks were delicious, if you enjoy a strong coffee flavor in your espresso martinis you would enjoy these, I personally prefer a creamier espressotini. My partner had the beer which I tasted. I am not the biggest beer fan but it was very smooth at first and had that typical bitter aftertaste that I typically dislike from beer. This is a sidenote but if you had a radler and enjoy those or would be open to being a bit of a mixologist at your table, I mixed the beer with my sangria and it was delicious! I found that it cut the bitter after taste of the beer completely.- Food: the mini hamburguesas were surprisingly the best burgers I've had in dc and I absolute would come back here just for those. You can never go wrong with patatas bravas, they were nice and crisp, and the aioli sauce was stellar. Really I came here to satisfy my craving for paella and really wanted to have a Valencian style paella experience, which I'm sad to report I did not have. The rice was a bit oily and salty to my liking, yet did not have any seasonings I could detect beyond the flavors of the sea. The seafood itself was ok but I ended up not finishing my plate. I'm hoping it was a one off but I am absolutely willing to come by and try out another of their dishes.Atmosphere- the vibes of the restaurant is super cute, I loved the decor and the lay out, particularly the lighting of the restaurant. There was some background music but it was nothing that would present a challenge to holding conversation. Kudos to the decorator to having managed to capture a cosy, intimate environment despite the more open layout. Bonus point for a clean and well maintained bathroom!
