Cuchi Cuchi Introduce
Tucked away in the vibrant Central Square area of Cambridge, Massachusetts, Cuchi Cuchi is not merely a restaurant but an escape—a captivating dining destination that whisks patrons away to an era of Old World beauty and early Hollywood glamour. While classified as a Spanish restaurant and bar, the core concept embraces a global culinary journey, presenting "international small plates" that borrow inspiration from cuisines spanning Morocco, Russia, France, India, Spain, and more. This commitment to diversity ensures that every visit is a new adventure for the Massachusetts diner.
The unique atmosphere is one of Cuchi Cuchi's greatest assets, offering an experience that is both whimsical and romantic. The decor channels a 1920s speakeasy feel, complete with antique furnishings, stained glass, and staff dressed in creative, vintage-inspired costumes. This theatrical element contributes to the restaurant's reputation as a highly memorable and one-of-a-kind spot for a special occasion or a festive night out. It is a place where every detail—from the menu composition to the server’s attire—is carefully curated for maximum impact.
The food menu is as eclectic as the decor, focusing on small, shareable plates designed for sampling a variety of cultures in a single sitting. Diners throughout the Greater Boston area flock to Cuchi Cuchi for signature dishes like the incredibly popular Chicken Kiev, a customer favorite for many years, alongside global gems such as Moroccan Chicken Tagine, Grilled Indian Lamb, and unique seafood offerings like Seafood-Filled Avocado. This "small plate" approach allows for great customizability, perfect for couples or groups looking to explore new flavors together.
Complementing the food is a phenomenal bar program. Cuchi Cuchi is renowned for its extensive list of Cocktails, which are divided into imaginative categories such as "Fruity," "Mixed Bag," "Serious," and a robust section dedicated to "Vintage Cocktails." This focus on creative mixology solidifies its status as a premier bar in Cambridge.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1When you walk in, you're transported into another time, with unique decor and staff in costumes.Went on a Friday night and it was fairly busy, but we didn't wait too long for a table for two.Food was out of this world. So good. Very eclectic menu with food and drinks spanning a variety of cultures. The plates are shareable and well composed. I look forward to coming back soon.
November 03 · Mathew Franco-DiazLove the Chicken Kiev. I found this place about 10 years ago and went often early on. I came here this time for my birthday and the Chicken Kiev tasted as I remembered it. So yummy but the banana bread dessert wasn't as good as I remembered. The banana bread was not very tasty and the ice cream was bland😔. Very cool atmosphere here and the drinks are creative. They even have some great non-alcoholic concoctions!
April 11 · antoinette rodneyThis was one of the more memorable dining experiences I have had in the past few years, and the absolute perfect spot for my family dinner.Everyone loved it, from my 13-year-old daughter to my 82-year-old dad. The impressively dressed service staff were all amazing, the cocktails outstanding, the atmosphere charming and whimsical, and every single food item was delicious.I don’t often post reviews, but this place was so good I want to make sure they get as much business as possible so they stay around for at least another 18 years!
February 22 · Matthew LaurenceThe food an service was simply FANTASTIC, I can't give it 5 stars because I went for good food and a romantic evening with my wife, but the place was so loud I had problems listening to my wife the wait staff and vice versa. A MUST GO FOR GOOD FOOD! Will go again soon to try the multiplicity of dishes.
February 09 · Perico LospalotesCute little place with nice cocktail options and some great small plates. Cuisine is pretty global when it comes to the food; covering small plates options from Morocco, India, Spain, Italy, France. We had several plates, some of our favorites were: sizzling garlic shrimp, Gobi Manchurian, Thai Mussels, potato croquettes. Must try if you are from the Boston area.
