### What Is Worth Choosing
Fritura Kings is a great choice for Pennsylvania residents seeking authentic, flavor-driven, and comforting cuisine outside the typical dining experience. The value here lies in the genuine flavor profiles and the hearty portion sizes, which are characteristic of the best Dominican cooking. It's a place that caters well to a wide audience and is explicitly good for kids and family-friendly, making it a perfect spot for a casual dinner out. Additionally, their diverse menu, ranging from small plates like the popular Tostones to large group Picaderas, ensures there is something for every craving and occasion. Whether you’re a local craving the real deal or someone looking to explore new flavors, Fritura Kings provides a warm, approachable setting to enjoy these savory cultural staples.
While the restaurant is known for its high-quality comfort food and authentic recipes, it’s important for local diners to note that some customer feedback points to occasional inconsistencies in service and food preparation. As with many popular local establishments, it is worth managing expectations regarding wait times during peak hours, and confirming specific requests clearly when ordering. Nevertheless, the overwhelmingly positive response to signature dishes like the Papa Fritas Yarroa and the various Mofongo options confirms that Fritura Kings remains a valuable and flavorful fixture in the Reading food scene.
The convenience of having multiple ways to enjoy the food, including delivery, takeout, and a dine-in option with seating, truly sets them apart. Plus, with a commitment to offerings like a quick bite for those in a rush and small plates for sampling, Fritura Kings successfully merges the authenticity of Dominican street food with the amenities of a modern local restaurant.
If you're in the Reading area and have a taste for the vibrant, comforting flavors of the Caribbean, Fritura Kings is definitely a local experience worth adding to your dining rotation.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Prices are a little high, the food is decent. I ordered my food then paid and stood while waiting for the transaction to go through. During that time the cashier walked away as if I wasn't there and didn't say a word to me. I had to grab my receipt from the printer, pretty unbelievable. Other than the lack of professionalism, no complaints.
July 29 · Daniel LSo ,Where do I begin, so I use to order here once in a blue moon and the food would be great. But yesterday this all changed, so yesterday my gf went out to do some dash for extra funds because I had a leg surgery and can’t work or walk so I been stuck in bed. And so I decided I wanted some cultural food but then I said to my gf please pick something up so we ordered and when she ordered the front cashier was so arrogant and ignorant we asked for the sauce on the fries to be like on the side not ontop and the “what you want me to do “ like how rude is that comment I want you to substitute the sauce cause we don’t like it. Then I asked for the extra potato and she dropped it on the floor and said “ ohh well “ … then when she got home the food was so disgusting cold, under cooked and unseasoned it tasted like water the plaintain and she said she had my food ready and it caused my step daughter to be in the bathroom all morning. This is unsafe unacceptable and poor customer service that women should be fired and no where near food! And I can firmly say we will never be back or ordering from you resturant again either location, so one I didn’t get to eatMy food I wanted, the my gf and her daughter couldn’t either so we had to home cook a meal anyway should have just done it to begins with. Worst 21.00 dollars I ever spent in my life
September 01 · Black crown holding coMe and my husband just ordered a Yaroa and at the end of my plate we found hair. Looks like beared hair . It was discussing. At first I thought it could’ve been the season until I touched it and it’s definitely hair.
March 17 · NickyMy first experience was about two years ago and it was an epic fail. I decided to try it again today. From the words Lee serving herself food from the steam table and eating right over the rest of the food on the phone being so unprofessional. A hair in my empanada and the fried pork had a sour taste. Safe to say never again. I’m all for supporting local businesses. Just won’t be able to support this one at this time.
June 29 · zuleika martinezFood is amazing but staff needs to be retrained on customer satisfaction. If the customer asks for fresh food it should be done without hesitation. More worried about a gossip than the customer themselves. Highly unprofessional just because we are all Spanish doesn’t mean you can have some type of professionalism.
