What makes it truly worth choosing for a New Yorker is its unflinching commitment to the difficult-to-replicate, specific flavors of the Basque region. This is not just a Spanish restaurant; it is a Basque-influenced food bar, emphasizing smaller, intensely flavored plates (pintxos) and high-quality drinks.
For those tired of generic international fare, Enoteca offers a welcome depth of tradition. The enthusiastic reviews highlighting the authenticity of the paella, the perfection of the croquetas, and the genuinely Spanish approach to tapas validate the restaurant’s mission. Furthermore, the combination of excellent food with a sophisticated drink program—especially the highly-praised gin and wine selections—makes it an ideal choice for a complete and memorable night out. It perfectly embodies the Hell’s Kitchen spirit of discovering an exceptional, niche culinary gem. The menu is very authentic spanish with a huge basque influence from San Sebastian, the foodie capital of Spain. Real tradifional dishes... A rare gem. We had pintxos, octopus, croquetas and fish. Authentic flavours that brought back childhood memories from home. This is how food used to taste like when I was growing in Spain.
