Honestly, much preferred when Bistro Basque and El Barrio were separate restaurants. The individual menus were more robust and each had a unique vibe. Now I feel like this place doesn’t know what it wants to be.I get why the owner combined the 2 for Covid but to keep it that way long after Covid is just odd. To save money on front of house? I think it is hurting their business. You walk in and it’s unclear where you’ll sit etc. One entrance usually blocked.Don’t get me wrong, food is still solid. But again I miss the full menus and the vibe of each place. Hopefully the owner brings that back. I know they’re busy with construction in building now. - R A
