★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Yesterday I revisited Cafe Riazor as I have done many times in the last 50 years!! I met Don David in 1975 & I immediately fell in love with this fabulous location. After Don David passed away his Son David took over with the help of Miss Miriam, The Hostess. They all know me very well. I might even be a rare pioneer. The ambiance is cozy & welcoming. The place is clean. The music is very nice. The food is spectacular. These facts explain why I tell David & Miriam that Riazor is my second home. Yesterday I visited with my younger sister Maribel & her husband Juan. Like myself, they were left speechless after eating these entries: House Paella & Octopus Salad (my 2 favorites), clams & shrimp, Mar & Tierra, house salads, Estrella 0.0 Beer from Spain & natural juices. I lived in NYC 30 years, in South Florida 16 years & presently I reside in Costa Rica. Anytime I get a chance I turn to NYC & the delicious aromas of Cafe Riazor & the smiles of David & Miriam keep calling me here….!! & I am humbly ready to comply!! If you have never experienced heaven at this place hurry up….!! As you are very welcome..!! 🙏🌎💐🍾🍺🎹🪘🎷🎺🎼🎉🪅
May 18 · Luis Gustavo Lascarez VargasLate afternoon lunch at Cafe Riazor in Chelsea, serving Spanish food since 1974.This family-owned restaurant is old-school New York and has a great retro feel to it!We started with some grilled chorizo and had shrimp in garlic sauce for our mains, along with their delicious homemade sangria. It was the perfect time of day for a long, leisurely lunch.
May 24 · Francine LauraWhat a find this place is in the heart of Chelsea! Mom and Pop atmosphere charming staff and quite simply the best Arroz con Pollo ever, EVER. Slow cooked creamy delicious pieces of chicken on the bone, smokey savory sausage and the veggies and rice cooked to absolutely perfection. I took 1/2 home and put a couple of eggs on it for breakfast and it's even better. My friend had the veal and enjoyed his just as much. It's affordable, the cocktails are great and its quiet and cozy. A+
September 13 · Peter ReardonI normally don’t write reviews, I’m so sorry but this Spanish food restaurant is not good. Last year I had a trip to Spain and I loved the food there. I was craving some Spanish and was extremely excited to try this place. The tortilla was extremely dry and lack flavor. The patatas bravas were extremely spicy, which they are not supposed to be this spicy. And the croquetas were just not good, and nothing like Spanish croquetas. Hopefully you’ll keep doing better, and improving because this food is nothing like authentic Spanish food. And I’m not a picky eater or a perfectionist when it comes to food.
October 02 · Yeimi Saint HilaireOne of the best experience for Spanish tapas. Very good service by owner and so much delicious food. Bread with tomato and garlic very very delicious including all tapas.
